KOREFE + THE DELI GARAGE

Chocolate sauce in a glue bottle?

Truffle oil fit for the Tin Man?

Oh my.

German design agency, Korefe, created these INCREDIBLY LOVABLY CUTE YET MANLY (grrr) designs that I'm simply crazy about. They're for The Deli Garage, so Korefe reflected the company name by housing all of the products in packaging that you might find at your local Aamco.

Unappetizing? Who cares? Pass the honey please!

SIDEWALK FINDINGS:

TRIBECA EDITION

Spotted this tiny sign while passing by the Rogan Jeans offices last week. As you enter through the main door, it reads "Rogan". Upon exiting, it reads "Adios".

Ah, the simple genius of an accordion fold. Bloody cleva.

JULIAN SCHNABEL

...and his Palazzo Chupi.

Really, what's not to love? While directing one of my favorite films of 2007, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Schnabel helped to design this pinkish-red architectural bit of loveliness, located in Soho. The director/painter was inspired by American architects Addison Mizner and Stanford White.

What do I love about it? How about the layers of lively color and lovely texture, those wood panels on the walls and how they relate to the black and white tiled floors, the AMAZING artwork (yes, those are Picassos...although the Femme au Chapeau will be auctioned at Christie's...)

In one word, it's luscious.
