IRVING PENN, 1917–2009My attempt to put together a synopsis of this photography legend's life and work seems to not do him justice. Penn died yesterday...and today, the world seems a bit quieter.
Instead, I'll let his work speak for itself. My favorite is the girl (Mary Jane Russell) at the bottom right.
It's so beautiful it hurts.
